in-person & virtual therapy for a more authentic you

We Believe

We believe in each person’s natural capacity to heal. At times our purpose and inner knowing can become distant due to toxic societal messages, patterns that are no longer serving us, trauma, and difficult life circumstances.

Together we will work to pinpoint and remove any barriers to becoming an authentic expression of who you are.

Meditating in Nature
Rediscover Yourself

At authentic wellness we create an atmosphere of respect and safety that, when combined with our evidence based counseling techniques, enables individuals to become the people they want to be.

I am a  therapist licensed in Michigan with over 7 years of experience working as a counselor. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns  including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, sexual assault, and PTSD. I have also supported many individuals as they adjust to major life changes such as leaving college, new careers, parenting, and more.    It takes courage and hope to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards owning your inherent power. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker, and have been working in the Copper Country for 5 years now. I have been working in the field since 2008 and have worked with a variety of clients including children, youth, parents and adults. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with an emphasis on trauma, family issues, PTSD, anxiety, and relationship issues. In my work with clients, I collaborate with them to identify helpful and unhelpful thoughts and establish treatment goals that address their current concerns/issues. If you feel we would be a good fit, schedule a free, 15-minute consultation to discuss your current concerns.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and a retired Registered Nurse. I have been practicing since 2018. I have learned that our state of mind determines our physical and emotional health. My approach to healing involves some learning and some unlearning. The learning is to understand what motivates us humans and how stress affects our physical body, and how our brain and nervous system can govern physical symptoms in our body. That understanding reduces the common tendency for us to think there’s something wrong with ourselves or others. I collaborate with my clients to unlearn imprints or beliefs that we may not realize we have but are guiding the way we live in the world. Healing from fear and shame removes protections and adaptations that may have been valuable earlier in life but are preventing our vitality and our best qualities from being expressed. I am comfortable working with people 5 years old and up, of any identity, preference, or belief. If you would like to meet me to discuss further, give me a call at 906-256-0613, or schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
